WordCamp Jinja 2026 will take place in Jinja, one of Uganda\u2019s most vibrant and historic cities. Located along the shores of Lake Victoria and at the Source of the River Nile, Jinja is widely known as Uganda\u2019s adventure capital and a centre for tourism, culture, creativity, education, and business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city provides the perfect setting for a WordCamp built around the theme \u201cEmbrace Creative Currents on the Nile: Where Inclusivity Fuels Creativity.\u201d<\/strong> With its welcoming community, scenic surroundings, and growing technology ecosystem, Jinja offers attendees an opportunity to learn, connect, contribute, and experience one of Uganda\u2019s most beautiful destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to Jinja<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jinja is located approximately 80 kilometres east of Kampala and can be reached by road from Kampala, Entebbe International Airport, and other major towns across Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendees travelling from Kampala or Entebbe can use private vehicles, taxis, buses, or shared transport services. Travel time may vary depending on traffic, so participants are encouraged to plan their journey early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International visitors arriving through Entebbe International Airport may travel to Jinja by airport taxi, private transfer, or through Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
