We are excited to announce that WordCamp 2023 is coming soon! WordCamp is a community-organized event that brings together WordPress enthusiasts from all over the world to learn, share, and network.
WordCamp Jinja 2023 is happening on Monday 4th – Tuesday 5th September 2023 at Iganga Secondary School. And that’s not all! We have an extra Contributor Day on Wednesday 6th September 2023 at The Innovation Village, 2023!
Our theme for this year is: ‘There is always more to learn!‘
We believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and WordPress is a great companion along the way. Whether you are a student, a teacher, a developer, a designer, a blogger, or an entrepreneur, there is always something new to discover and share with WordPress. That’s why we have prepared some exciting and engaging hands on and minds on activities for you as listed on the schedule at jinja.wordcamp.org/2023/schedule
WordCamp Jinja 2023 is not only for the students and teachers. We also welcome the local tech communities – including the Google Developer Groups and Women Tech Makers – to get involved with the WordPress Open Source Project and join the fun!
To secure your spot at this amazing event, you need to book your tickets as soon as possible. We have three types of tickets available:
- Actual Cost tickets / (micro sponsor): WordCamps like to keep their prices low / discounted to provide access to as many people as possible. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we are able to do that. Otherwise, the actual cost of attendance for WordCamp Jinja 2023 is UGX 180,000 (~$50). If you would like to be a MicroSponsor to cover the full cost of your ticket (including the facility/venue costs, tshirt, other swag, all meals, workshop materials, accommodation), we will be happy to list you as such on our website and your attendee badge. If you would like to become a MicroSponsor, please buy a MicroSponsor ticket via https://jinja.wordcamp.org/2023/buy-ticket/ and our team will be in touch for further details.
- Discounted / general tickets: These are limited in number and cost only UGX 40,000 (~$10). They give you access to all the facilities, sessions, meals and activities on all days of the event. You also get a tshirt and some WordCamp goodies (swag). Book up before they sell out!
- Student Tickets: For schools bringing many students / ICT Club members, there are some student tickets at only UGX 20,000 (~$5). Don’t miss this great offer!!
