WordCamp Jinja 2026 is our annual conference organized by the WordPress Jinja Meetup Community. Held in Jinja since 2022, the event has grown into one of Eastern Uganda’s leading technology conferences and creative gatherings.
The conference will bring together WordPress developers, website designers, content creators, online publishers, students, educators, entrepreneurs, and open-source enthusiasts from Uganda, East Africa, and beyond. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange practical knowledge and experiences, discover new ideas, build meaningful professional connections, and engage with the wider global WordPress community.
A Home for Learning, Creativity, and Community.
We expect to welcome about 400 attendees including students, teachers, developers, designers, bloggers, entrepreneurs, community organizers, and people who are discovering WordPress for the first time. We warmly welcome members of the wider technology and creative ecosystem, including local innovation communities, writers, photographers, and digital professionals.
A Community Gathering at the Source of the Nile
Following the main conference activities, attendees will have the option to join an exciting after-party at the Source of the Nile. This relaxed and scenic experience will provide an opportunity for participants, speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and organisers to unwind, celebrate, and strengthen the connections created during WordCamp Jinja 2026.
Welcome to Jinja
Jinja is one of Uganda’s most vibrant and historic cities. Located along the shores of Lake Victoria and at the Source of the River Nile, Jinja is widely known as Uganda’s adventure capital and a centre for tourism, culture, creativity, education, and business.
Our venue, Civil Service College, Uganda offers a comfortable and professional environment for conference sessions, workshops, networking, and community activities. It is accessible from Jinja City centre and provides a serene experience for all in attendance.
