The Power of Tech Communities

The first end to end system I built was on WordPress back in the day as a Software Engineering Fresher, And how did I know WordPress could help me with that??…. Community.
Many Developers grow there skills in isolation missing out on key essential skills and connections that could build them Up.
Tech communities are not just about the Technical bit of Tech but rather a safe space that gives every developer a sense of belonging. From Tech communities I have personally learnt beyond the classroom walls and got challenged to learn and adapt to the latest and trending technologies shared by friends in community sessions. I have got Gigs, Connections,Jobs and won Hackathons and gained exposure and scholarships from Communities. Even now, I have built a wordpress Community on my Campus following the leadership skills and organisation skills learnt from Tech Community Events.
My Talk forcuses on me sharing my WordPress Journey and Community and how it helped me discover the potential in me. I believe attendees and mostly first timers will leave the room challenged and encouraged to embrace community and grow there Tech Skills
