Dr. Joseph Ekenwosu is an accomplished Environmental Biologist, educator, and researcher with a passion for sustainable land management and community empowerment. He holds a PhD, MSc, and PGD in Environmental Biology from Imo State University, Owerri, alongside certifications in ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and Environmental and Social Assessment for World Bank projects.
With extensive teaching experience spanning from primary school to university lecturing, Dr. Ekenwosu has nurtured countless students, even volunteering to support underprivileged learners in his community. His research focuses on soil health, pesticide impacts, and phytochemical alternatives for sustainable environment. He led a team to conduct an ecological risk assessment after a pesticide incident in southeast Nigeria, demonstrating his commitment to volunteerism and translating research into real-world solutions.
An active member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) and the Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners UK (CIEPUK), Dr. Ekenwosu has peer-reviewed scholarly publications and contributed to reputable journals. He served on the editorial board of the Open Journal of Bioscience Research and as a public affairs analyst for The Tide newspaper.
Beyond academia, he has shared his insights as a guest speaker, most notably addressing issues of leadership and the impact of charity foundations on local economies.
